The Summer Workshop Issue is Now Online

PRINCETON, N.J. (April 22, 2013) -- The Dow Jones News Fund's spring issue of Adviser Update, featuring the annual directory of summer journalism workshops, is now online.
Go to the Adviser Update page at https://www.newsfund.org to review the issue. You may receive printed copies by emailing your postal address and the number of copies requested to djnf@dowjones.com.

More than 70 workshops hosted by colleges, universities, journalism associations and publishing companies are listed in the directory. They are also posted online. Our issue sponsors include Penn State University, the Center for Collaborative Journalism at Mercer University, Columbia Scholastic Press Association, the Journalism Education Association, the Indiana High School Journalism Institute, the North Carolina Scholastic Media Association and the Missouri Interscholastic Press Association.
The cover story by Jane Blystone offers a retrospective on the career of Dr. Thomas Eveslage of Temple University, an expert on student press rights. The issue also highlights award-winning articles, photographs and multimedia work by scholarship winners in 2012 Fund-sponsored summer high school journalism workshops. Kathleen Zwiebel, 1998 National High School Journalism Teacher of the Year, designed the paper.
The summer issue will publish in late August. The deadline for writers to submit articles and sponsors to place display messages is June 7.
